About Dr. Pescatore

Rick Pescatore, DO, FAAEM, is a dedicated and compassionate board-certified emergency medicine physician with expertise in headache and chronic pain management in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. As the founder of Mullica Hill Advanced Therapies, Dr. Pescatore offers a range of progressive therapeutic techniques to help patients struggling with severe depression, chronic pain, PTSD, reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), fibromyalgia, migraines, headaches, and complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS).

Dr. Pescatore began his education at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, where he earned a degree in engineering. He began his career as a naval officer before attending Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. Throughout his medical studies, he was reminded of the suffering he witnessed in his young adulthood as an EMT and dedicated himself to serving his patients with the utmost respect and compassion.

After completing his medical education and earning his doctorate, Dr. Pescatore completed his emergency medicine residency at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. Passionate about furthering his education and clinical skills, Dr. Pescatore completed additional studies in pain management and has been published extensively in both scientific and lay literature on emergency medicine, pain management, opioid alternatives, and evidence-based medicine.

Through his experience attending patients in emergency room settings, Dr. Pescatore developed an awareness of the lack of reliable pain management options among patients dealing with chronic pain and disability. After diligent research of clinical trials and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Pescatore founded Mullica Hill Advanced Therapies in order to bring highly effective, cutting-edge techniques in pain management to his community.

Dr. Pescatore currently serves as the director of clinical research for an emergency medicine residency program and writes a monthly column for Emergency Medicine News. He also hosts an award-winning monthly podcast discussing hot topics in emergency medicine. Dr. Pescatore constantly stays up-to-date with the latest medical advances in order to better serve his patients.
